Woodwidow got me a late birthday/early Christmas present today - a Stihl MSA 300C. It really rips!

20 inch bar and chain also have a 16 inch bar and chains. The bar and chain came with the saw . I'm really looking forward to getting out for some firewood hoarding !

That’s the new one that will run with the ms 261 when it’s on high power setting. Not the longest battery run time on full power but they cut well from what my buddy said.

WOW!!! Thats a great gift. Just looked it up and as pricey as an MS400 and thats just for the bare tool.
Ive thought about getting a Dewalt one since i have the batteries and their pole saw.

Report back to us campinspecter on your thoughts.

Yes it was pricey, but my first battery saw was a Yardworks it did not last the first chain ,the second was a Stihl MSA 160, the third a MSA 220 C both Stihl's are still going strong.Nothing worst than getting out to a cutting site and have the saw die .In wood up to 2 feet in diameter I plan on using the MSA 300 and in fire season you can go out with a battery saw were you can't go with a gas saw .

I didnt think of that. I know the feeling of dying batteries. I try to keep the dewalts charged. Have an AC outlet in the PU that works when PU running. Common sight to see a charging battery on the passengers seat.

How many batteries did you get?

Three batteries but my other battery's will run the 300 in ehco mode. With the 220 three battery's would do half a pickup load about half a cord , but I will be disappointed if three battery's in the 300 don't give me half a cord .
