Sup fellas, I'm doing a friend a favor and offered to sell his 440 for him so feast your eyes on this. I have hit this saw with a rag and an air compressor but that's it. I haven't cut with it but I have no reason to suspect trouble. Saw has a 25" ES bar that I have dressed and de-burred, also comes with 3 chains for the 25" bar. She blows VERY healthy compression, starts and runs as it should. Piston top is clean and I have verified the base gasket is in place. Just a nice, clean, all original MS440. That's the good news, now for the not as good news. The lower point of the bucking spike is slightly bent inwards, the chain catch needs to be replaced, and it could use a new pre-cleaner band for the air filter. There, that wasn't so bad was it? These are all items I can rectify before it leaves the shop so let me know if you want me to procure the parts and install them for you. You want to upgrade to dual spikes, a DP/modded muffler, and the HD2 filter? We can do that too. I'd ask that the buyer cover the cost of the parts and I will install them at no cost. Oh yeah, pictures you say? I got a few.....
$550 + shipping for cash sale OR the owner is looking for a Husqvarna 562XP/555 (preferably a 562 in real nice shape).
Not my call, downsizing to a ported 562 with a 20" bar will certainly accomplish what my friend is looking for. I wish I had a 562 to trade him for the 440.
I was surprised this saw was here this long. Looks like a rather clean 440 that has been gone through by our Mechanical Moderator! ! Whomever got it? Got a great 70 cc saw!!
Thank you MM for getting this done! Hopefully your buddy will find the saw that he wants. I know I cant wait.....
