Buddy brought over his MS193t said it was racing. I had a suspicion it was the intake boot pulled out and lo and behold it sure was. My stupid phone (brand new too) snapped a pic but it didn't save. So this is after I had already pulled it back into place....but you can see how it was deformed. The bar was probably pinched and he probably yanked on the handle hard. Read before this was an issue with these saws. Nothing is there to hold the intake boot so a hard yank will certainly do the trick. I let it sit in the direct sunlight for like an hour and the sun done did its job. Went straight back to its original shape and saw is up and running again. Had to fiddle with the carb a little because it was probably messed around with a little rich to compensate for the air leak. Good thing it was 96 degrees today. Sure helped that boot soften up quick. Air filter was in place but filthy. Replaced the spur sprocket and needle bearing since I had a spare handy and lubed it up with some lithium grease. Checked the rpms and brought it to about 12200 max rpm. Washed the clutch cover as that was also filthy.
