Just googled them. Sleek looking saw, entry level for sale in Europe and will be for sale in the states starting next year. 172 the successor to the 180[IMG]

    At 4.5 kg (9.9 lbs) and only 30cc's I don't want one.
We've had 40+ cc saws under 10 lbs for a long time, the ms180 is 35 cc and under 9 lbs.
Looks like an un- improvement to me..... though they are less blocky looking than the ms170-180....so if a prettier saw is worth more weight and less poop, then it's a good deal, I s'pose.....

Echo has a professional 43cc saw over in Europe. CS4310 SX. Specs are nearly Identical to the 241. Dyno Joe on YouTube got one here somehow. Supposed to be porting and Dyno running it eventually.

The weight increase didnt make sense to me either. It is a sleek looking saw.

Im kidding of course. Someday i imagine the lower CC saws may be FI that is if everything OPE doesnt go to battery powered first.

30cc if I am not mistaken is what the 170 is.
One is enough for me of that size.

    Cute saw but I'll pass.

    I never heard of a 542 mark 1. There’s a 543.

Interesting how companies come out with new product. Their marketing theories would be interesting. I was not aware of these either.

For little, nothing I know of beats an Echo 2511.

I see you have both the top and rear handle versions of the 2511 Bill. I handled the top handled version at my OPE dealer a couple years ago and was kinda tempted. Which sees more use for you?

Thats the only one I've heard of as well. It's actually a Redmax in Husqvarna clothes.

Ive had both. Top handle first. Very handy but I don't climb trees. When the P came out I ordered one and sold the ported T. I had Kevin port this one and I like it better than the top handle. Almost as light and more reach if needed because its easily one handed, even though none of do that.....

That thing looks like stihl finally got some payback by cloning a Chinese saw instead of the other way around
