Stihl missed the rock they was aiming for. But looks kinda handy for marking the length of the rounds

Ever since it occurred to me that an 18" piece of firewood can give me ~13% more heat than a 16" piece of firewood, and my stove will fit 18" pieces, I've tried to cut my rounds as close to 18" as I can.

So, I might be interested in it for round length. But it would have to be pretty reasonably priced to replace a tape measure.

Looks like it would get knocked out of adjustment fairly easily as well? Kind of hard to tell from the animation. I'll be

Seems like a solution to a problem I don't have.

I saw it about 3 years ago. I was under the impression it was only available in the E.U. I ask a local dealer about back then and he knew nothing about it.

You could always go on the cheap and tape a laser pointer on the felling mark on your saw!

    That's different.
Saws like the 500i ( BRAD you do know what that is don't you :D) has the black lines on the recoil to help with this.
I will admit I just learned about what they were for.
