I am close to pulling the trigger on a Stihl Kombi unit. My main use would be brush cutting and cultivating.
Anyone have this unit with a cultivator? Which model? Opinions please. I am a little concerned with power and weight on what I am trying to do.
I don't know how big of unit to go with. Thinking about a 94R.

Brush cutting and cultivating ? I'd go with the 130 or 131. Lots of torque there. The negative is that it's a little heavier.

If you are gonna use it professionally every day as a landscaper then go 94 maybe. Home use go 13_

My fs90r will run the cultivator attachment I have, but the bigger the better if that's gonna be it's main gig.

I bought the 130 and I'm glad I did. Very little more weight than the smaller units, but much more power. The 94 would be tempting because I am a 2 stroke fan, but no complaints about the 130 4-mix.

I talked to my buddy who uses the rubber power sweep, which I think would be similar to running a cultivator and he went with the KM 130. works great for that but thinks it overkill for all other attachments like trimmer and blower.

I like my KM 94R 2-stroke but not sure if it would enough for a cultivator. I'm going to try my buddies power sweep soon and compare my 94 to his 130.

I can't really give an opinion on the power needed except to say, if you have soil like mine, you could do your entire garden with a chincy electric cultivator (what I did). I'm on a bit of a sand bar though - if you have lots of clay then the more power the better I'm sure.

yup got the 130 with cultivator ...limb saw... string ... and blade head.. it will not be short of power brother has a 90 I'm not enough for broom.. I only considered big motor I am 6 foot 220 it's not that heavy.. you will love that cultivator for removing tire ruts from lawn..

oh why I only considered big was I put on 10 inch saw blade to remove brush tree at ground level... enough tork to make it whine touch sumac or up to 3 inch maple. they fall over.. 1 hour with tool 4 hours pickin up brush.. time for bonfire and drinks! any questions ask... mine is 130r split shafts combi unit.. brother got non split shafts (cause it only takes couple minutes to change) well he lives 15 minutes away and borrows mine... says because 90 in under powered for the broom... Dad bought non split shafts ...I was :headbang: dad you don't own a truck what you thinking.. he borrows mine.. so I might have to get another power head... :picard: he's my dad what ha gonna due!

I also got the 130 because I bought the unit originally with the rubber power sweep-that takes some power.

Don't know about stihl but, I have a 31cc Ryobi that runs a cultivator , the cultivator wears me out , wouldn't want to do a big area with it, but like said , works gteat for removing tire ruts from lawn

I have the 94 and it has some pretty good power. But I also have a yard boss with the cultivator attachment and wheel kit. The 94 kombi has more power than the yard boss

I run the cultivator attachment with my KM56 powerhead quite often and it does just fine.

Pulled the trigger. KM 110 R. I got the power head, cultivator, brush cutter and a string trimmer attachment that mounts to the brush cutter head. Spent more than I would of liked, but it is only money. I did splurge and got the full shoulder harness. Off to play with it.

I will say the string trimmer is probably the best weed whacker I've ever used with the 94. I could imagine it being much better with the 110

    I didn't know Stihl made a 130 2-stroke. I thought it was only the 4-mix 4-stroke.
