I suspect I have a fuel line leaking on the 036. I haven't identified the source of the leak yet but wondered if this something I should attempt? Your input is appreciated :)

Easy to do. Have fun. Check other stuff too while in it.

Yupp, easy to do. I'd check/replace the fuel filter, too. You'll need:
    1. Hemostats or bent wire to grab the line from the tank
    2. Pliers/hemostats
    3. New fuel line (OEM is best, AM are ok)
    4. New fuel filter.

Take air filter off...I usually do it with the carb off too to check/clean everything. Fuel line comes up through the tank housing via a small hole. It attaches directly to the carb and should be easy to remove/install. I always pull the lines out and cut 'em above the filter then slip them through the tank. I use a bit of mix to lube up the ends.

Sounds simple enough, but never done this before. I'll take all the help I can get!
Thanks for your original post...sometimes all it takes is someone that's been there before

I did the line on my 044. It was a bit of a PITA but totally DIY'able. The only way I could get it done on that saw was to remove the carb so besides getting the line through the tank hole hooking up the throttle lever was the next toughest part.
