I have a 32" Stihl bar I picked up in a trade - but the only saw I have big enough to run that is my 385XP. I bought an adapter from Bailey's, but the Husky adjuster pin is just too big to fit in the Stihl bar. What do you usually do... Trade for another bar? Who's got one?
Open up the hole with a round file, doesn't take much, have the exact set up my self. Do both holes so when u flip the bar and forgot u opened the other side up, u don't f up the saw!!!!
Actually 3! My tree guy just GAVE me his old flattop 066 because he got a new 660. Flattop is very tired, very tired indeed. I have that saw scheduled to be my first ported saw by MM.......months from now.
I've spun down the adjuster pin to fit the hole. I have all Stihl or Homelite bars at the moment so modding the pin makes it work with all of my Stihl bars with one mod. I just swap out the adjuster pin if I get a Husky in the shop, sans bar.
