image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg picked this baby up today for $700. 32" b&c and an extra chain. only a couple years old. Original bar shows not much use. She runs real good, now I just need to find the time to digger into some big wood.

Only problem is I don't really need it, I am looking for a 261, found the 461 and couldn't pass up the deal. Might have to sell one of my bigger saws or trade for the 261. My CAD is fully out of control :headbang::headbang:

I am a sucker for big saws as well. Got to a point where I have 4 or 5 big ones and no big wood to cut! Nice saw.

Same for me, I rarly need more than a 25" B&C, but you never know you might. I would hate to pass on good BTU because my bar was to short.

Dakota Hoarder. The 461 is a nice saw one of my work mates purchased one last year. Throw a 20" bar, full chisel chain and 8 pin sprocket on her and you will be throwing chips.

A few years ago I got my hands on a 660 and did that trick, oh boy what fun. Last year my best mate wanted to sell his 066 that had inspired me to get my 660 so now I have 2 91cc monsters.

Recently I put the 30" and 7 pin sprocket back on my 660 to do a job and I am thinking of leaving it on.

I have CAD as well I started with a 365 husky added an 031 stihl then an 088, A top handle husky. 660, 084, 2 pole saws and 066.

This! I've run into this exact same problem more than one time. So when the funds got straight I had to get a big saw. Better to have and not need then need and not have.

I agree! My next saw will either be a 201t or the 241

She seems to be oiling a little heavy. I'm guessing the previous owner cranked up the adjustable oiler for the longer bar. Better to have to much oil than not enough.

Had the same problem with a 361 I bought a couple years ago. It was puking out pretty bad so I had my local shop turn it down.

Hey man you will love that saw.... mine wears the 25" bar, but I have put the 20" on her when I got into a lot of hickory....I love the saw, she just eats wood with the 25" bar buried!!!!

    Man what a cool saw.
I would really love to have a rear handle 201. But a 241 would be a great saw to have. None of the stihl dealers around here will carry the 241. Really too bad.
But the little Dolmar 421 filled that void for me.
Hopefully you can find a great 261 soon. Very handy saw to have.

I just picked this up today at my local Stihl shop, it was the personal saw of the owner of the shop. $300 find. I've been looking for a good used top handle saw because the new ones are out of my price range.

This thing really rips. I can't wait to get up in the tree and give this thing a workout.

It's gonna be a hard choice for sure. I saw that little dolly run ain't a thang wrong with it! I feel like a 201 or 241 along with the 360 and 661 will have me covered... for awhile lol.
