Nothing is cheap today. Visit your dealer and buy a new bar or order one online. Cheap is a relative term that usually is indicative of a substandard product.

I tend to avoid Flea Bay myself. FB marketplace too. Baileys has some good prices on no name bars last time I checked.

HL supply maybe? That’s where I got all my sugiharas. They have sales pretty often and around about every holiday.

Just flip the mattress and pony up.

No excuses ; you need a lighter bar because you are getting older it would make cutting easier on your back. :BrianK:
    There ; problem solved.

I browse for deals. Ill see if they have a separate website and get it cheaper. Between fees and shipping they lose 15% on the gross sale and its cheaper )usually) on their website.

After all these years, I finally bought one, a 25 inch, last year. I think it was about $140. In no time, just a few hours cutting, I was making a cut in a pile of logs and the tip hit a little knot on the log somehow... it surprised me it happened so fast. The tip jumped up towards me and I caught it like I always done before. Then my heart sank. The tip of the bar where the sprocket is had peeled open, just splayed apart about 1/4 inch or more. What! I couldn't believe it. I got disgusted and haven't touched it since. Problem for warranty claim, if there is one, is a friend bought this for me (I paid him) at a dealer two hours from me. I don't even know the dealer name, maybe he recalls. It seems bizarre that this tip is not any tougher than that, it seemed to me that it HAD to be defective because it really wasn't that big of a deal and happened SO fast. And the result was bad news. I figure the tip is a replaceable one but Stihl should cover that seems to me. If it's one year, I'd better hurry. My luck it's 90 days or something. I dunno if it could be fixed.

I much prefer the Tsumura bars over the Stihl lightweight one's.
I was very disappointed in the rail wear that occured on mine. The 3 Tsumura bars I have are staying like new.
