Wasnt really looking for this saw, but it was a bargain at $125 IMO. Very low hours, original owner too. Hasnt run in a few years, broken oil cap and judging by how dull it was the guy wasnt an experienced cutter. Im familiar with it being one of the lightest saws Stihl ever made (the top handled version of this is even lighter) The MS150/151 is lighter but mostly used for carving Just sold my 024 to the guy who sold it to me so i had an "opening" in the line up. Side by side with my 201. 7.3lbs vs 8.6lbs for the 201. Powerhead weights. I have a 12" lightweight bar that came with my 201 top handle. Maybe ill give that a try when its running. Special thanks to Eric Schamell who helped the deal come to fruition.
There was an MS200 rear handle for sale on FB Marketplace not too far from me last week, looked to be in great condition, I think they were asking 500 for it which isn't too bad considering that saws reputation, but being I bought a Stihl 034, an 034 Super and an MS880 the past three weeks, I'm tapped out for the time being....lol I'm also running out of space....
They are a fantastic work/firewood saw. Now I have three of them total....lol. One will be going to my FIL for his firewood duties.....
Ahem, you do know there's others of us here that probably would've bought that 200 & paid to have you ship it here right?
If you think that saw is light wait until you get your hands on the 150TC. Get one for each hand and you will be Bradley Scissorhands. Will you still be getting the 400?
Ive seen a couple for sale over the course of my FBM browsing. One was new. Like this saw not something i was looking for, but if the price is right id get one. Only one of the four local Stihl dealers had a 400 in stock. System had a connection for me to get one cheaper at his dealer. I have to call and confirm they have one and a three hour round trip to buy it. Being im not hoarding as much due to work keeping me busy i may not get one anytime soon., but thats subject to change on a moments notice.
