I have long said this is my favorite platform (@ MasterMech ).

While scanning eBay today, I found one ending in just a little bit. Normally these go from $150 to $300-$400 real quick. Not thinking much of it, with 5 sec to go, I bump the price $6. Won it for a very worthy "Suck" price :)

Does need some TLC and possibly AV mounts. Says it runs, but I may get a toasted piston and cyl?? Never know with feeBay. Should be here by this weekend.

I started to tear my minty 036 Pro down to install the Caber rings I have for it, but will be waiting to see what the compression looks like on this one..

    Also.....
The J-Red 2253 (Husq 550xp equivalent) will be here this week as well. Hope to get some good videos of the 2253 and 441C-M cutting (Sat is my Christmas party, so Sun will be the day).

Pics to come as soon as it gets here.:D

Nice! I missed my chance at an 036PRO at the shop last week... they had it listed at 275 but I probably could have grabbed it for a bit less. Oh well... Piston looked great on the exhaust side, but may have ingested some junk on the other.
I'll be converting an 034 carcass into an 036 later this winter. That'll make 2 034s, 1 034Super, and 1 034/036 hybrid. I should have a bunch of leftover parts if anyone needs anything from the 1125 series.

Don't recognize either of those pics. It's nicer than the top one for sure (current state) and about as nice as the lower pic, even though it needs cleaned.

Just realized those were the two that sold yesterday. Didn't realize it's the third already.

I may have a trade already in the works. Doesn't take long for word to spread. :)

But my 036 Pro will be coming to the GTG. Hopefully as a good contender in the 60cc category.

It finally came today :) My J-Red 2253 will be here tomorrow :) :)

It a little dirty, but overall, in great shape. Missing a couple small parts (chain catch, needs new air filter, plug, etc ) but comparing it to my 036 Pro, it's in very similar shape (once clean) and based on serial #, it's newer tham my current 036 Pro :)

Prob gonna send it down the road, but it's gonna get the royal treatment first. More pics to come later.

Wife's Christmas party is tomorrow, mine is Sat, so it won't be for a fee days. Will try and start a thread on the J-Red tomorrow, if time allows. Next 2 days are gonna be blurry :drunk:

Great score and I'll be looking forward to the j-red thread. Have fun at your holiday parties, drive safe though, I think we are in the 3-5" range today.

Thanks. Both parties are "Overnight" parties. Mine is at Embassy Suites. It's an all evening event (6p- ??) That's catered, open bar all night, lots of prizes (where I won my iPad last yr), dancing, games, etc

As for the J-Red, I will makea thread soon. And remember, your always welcome to come out one weekend.

Overnight parties are a great idea when :drunk:Thanks for the continued invite. I'm trying to get 3 years ahead this winter. Hoping this cold snap will freeze the ground so I can get in the woods. Finished c/s/s the sugar maple from work last weekend, ended up being close to 2 1/2 cords.

Coincidentally, I picked up an 036 Pro yesterday from a local tool dealer who advertised it on Craigslist. Get ready to hate me, because it runs the way it looks. You might want to avert your eyes from the last picture.

It's OEM everything. Thing looks like it's been used about half an hour.

Downtown Oberlin? Yes, I was there on Sunday morning, having brunch with friends. If that's when you're thinking, then I'm sorry I missed you.

Yep. Sunday. I thought it was you, then didn't want to embarrass myself if it wasn't.

(Edit: I think it was Sat? Pretty sure anyways. Maybe it wasn't you?)
