That Heathstone is a sad sight. Doesn't treat his equipment too good judging from that.

I found an older BK just like that the same time I found the NC30 the other day.
Now, if I could just find a newer BK for less than $500.....................

I've seen a couple that were priced almost as if they were new (they weren't), but most are under $500.

Good luck in your search. Does this mean another epic "scrap" wood shed?

I would think wood stoves in Alaska this time of the year is like fishing boats here in Minnesota in May. Probably get a better deal on a stove in May thru July in Alaska. I might be wrong but that is my thought. I was looking for a used stove for the small garage but right now nobody is dealing on them unless they need some money for Christmas. Good Luck.

Looking for stoves on CL is fun, everyone that needs a laugh should check it out, a total piece of crap seems to be worth good money to some sellers.

I did a search and found this gem:
    woodstove ashes (Six Flags area)

Do you have steps or driveway that gets icy in bad weather? You need to stock up on ashes for sprinkling. Let me know when you want to come by and I'll email address to you. You'll need to bring boxes or other large container. We have 3 buckets full and will be able to keep you supplied as long as the weather is cold.

    Ashes are 99% hardwood.

    Bogydave,
Sometimes when I purchase things on Craigslist and the sellers are "out to lunch" I simply tell the sellers, " Don't be offended but I will pay you this for the item in the next two weeks." In others what I would pay them for it. Or what you think it is worth. Most of the time they say no way and more than half the time tell call me on the 14th day and ask if the deal is still good. This way if they get someone else to buy it at a higher price... good for them, if not they are going to get rid of it.
I did that right now on a Energy king wood burning furnace for the new shop I will be building. I know those wood burning furnaces pretty well because I had one in my shop that I sold 3 years ago with my place. They wanted $450 for it and I offered them $200 for it, for the my new shop. The guy was very nice about it and he said I just had it on the list for a week so he wanted to see if he can get more than that. He took my cell number and I noticed today that he lowered his price to $375.
I might get it and I might not. We'll see.

    Yea,
They need to take it back to the store for a refund LOL :)

Many adds have the new price listed.
Like the guy with the rusty Heartstone above. $2700 new.

    I usually tell them
"well, we both know it's not new "
