    Hello
The Auger should be removed every 2 - 3 years for a good wire wheeling and cleaning but I really hate fussing by finding the right Allen wrench to remove the set screw in the locking collar that holds the auger motor in the steel auger shaft. Wrestling that Allen wrench with locking pliers can be tricky because if it breaks or strips then it is all junk!! In one case I had to drill that nasty little set screw out! So I found that most of these Locking collars for the 5/8” diameter augers have the same 5/16” diameter threads as the nice Heavy duty set bolt used in the big cast iron Englander Auger Locking collars! Since these collars are only $6.95 I just remove the set bold and replace that nasty little Allen set screw with this big bad set bolt and using a 3/8” socket, I can crank that auger motor on or off easy Peasy!!!
    How does that look??

    Looks pretty good to me.

I am lucky since my Allen screws all came out fairly easily. I used anti-seize on the threads, so they come out easily now. I wrote the wrench size inside the stove so there's no guessing when it's time to remove things.

If I have trouble in the future, I will keep this fix in mind!
