So, I splurged and bought a new Range Officer 5" in .45. Can't wait to get back home and shoot it. Anyone have one?
It was between this and the Kimber custom ii. I just liked this one better and it has a great warranty, too.

Good choice. There's some guys that can take that and have it shoot right with the Ed Brown and Les Baer guns for $250-300. Kimber is overrated to me.

The Springfield Range Officer is a great gun. I have been looking at the one chambered in 9mm for my 14 year old
who wants to shoot scholastic steel challenge this fall. The 1911 platform is a great setup

If he's got normal sized hands already the FN pistols feel great and are seem to be reliable. Hard to beat a Springfield really.

The 9mm Range Officer shares the same stainless barrel diameter and weight as the .45acp
This is a well made pistol :)
