Had a warm spring day but things are still mooshy here but wanted to do something outside. I now have a years worth of kindling made. I have the OK of the local tractor dealership to raid their crate pile whenever I want and I take full advantage. 20260323_173921.jpg 20260307_133858.jpg 20260307_132745.jpg

Nice connection! Will some of the boards get repurposed rather than turned into kindling?

Any chance I get, their scrap becomes my lumber!

Looks like you got your kindling cracker from the same scrap pile that I got mine.

Brings back memories from 45 years ago when I would get lumber from glass crates. Most of it was 2 x 8

How do you drive a nail or screw though a glass 2x8 without breaking it? :D

Okay, you two got me there! :handshake:

The crates were made from lumber....some say it was SYP. They were used for shipping insulated patio door glass.

And IIRC, the planks must have been 2x10 as they made some fine picnic tables!
