A good friend lent me his 22 Husky splitter since I have a ton a large rounds to bust up. He warns me that "it goes back real slow"....which it does. I checked the hydrolic fluid and it was low. I put a gallon in and this is what happened. When in the vertical position it runs great like it is brand new. Goes down fast and returns up fast. Real smooth. When I run it in the horizontal position it goes forward fast but still returns very slow. I have to jiggle the handle to even get it to return. Can't figure it out. Any thoughts guys...
Inside one of the hoses maybe deteriorated and is making a flap. Will allow fluid to flow one way but not the other. I see it sometimes on car brake systems.
