Busy day Made a modification so I can take the trailer & splitter 5/16 bolt with a wing-nut on the bottom , holds the 2x2 on & lets it pivot. Out to the wood area Split some more, Then loaded in trailer & started stacking Double row 5' high Got just over a cord stacked so far. Mts over the stack pic
LOL Yea, "tried" is the key word I finally unhooked the splitter & pushed it into the garage Only if caught LOL
You got a lot done! Stack looks great especially with the mountain in the background. Do you have all your rounds cut for the year yet?
Those stacks are beautius - word of mine, pronounced byuu - tee - us. That last shot looks like something that would appear on a calendar - hmmmm FHC Calendar? Wood Porn? Sign me up.
Yea, 2 rows with a 12" gap at the bottom & leaning toward each other as I stack. Got them touching at the top & 1/2 splits with bark up on the last/top layer. Will get/post a pic of it .
Oh common!! I once parallel parked a 70 car train!!! I then got off the train, and fed salmon to bears in a river in Alaska!! "I'm the most interesting man in the world!"
Them square splits for the cross stacked ends is the cats meow Dave, makes my T-posts look city like…. lol nice pics
So Dave, what are you hooking behind the splitter and how will you fasten it? On backing up, practice, practice and cuss a bit.
Learned that form Backwoodsavage several years ago. Liked it when I saw his, I'm slowly learning how to do it a well as he can.
Milk crate Have to un hook to use the trailer to haul splits & stack I tried to bak them into the shop all hooked up, Was just easier to unhook & roll the splitter in
