Bought a log cradle off ebay for $99 shipped, yeah could of made one myself but I dont have all the equipment at the house and this seller 33flame has good reviews on numerous forums about his cradles so I pulled the trigger on one, they are quality built using 3/16" flatbar and powder coated also put in an oil drain hose to make oil changes easier and drilled and tapped that little vent hole on the hyd fluid cap and installed a barbed hose fitting and hose, IMO that vent hole allows water to get into the tank, so I put a end to that here are some pics http://s189.photobucket.com/user/elderthewelder/library/log splitter
Looks good, sure beats picking that half up off the ground. The oil drain hoses work nice to, keeps oil from running all over the motor mount plate making less mess.
Nice looking cradle. Having run a splitter that had a hydraulic cradle, I don't think I could go back to a standard horizontal splitter. Makes it way easier to get the big rounds up there
