Me and Mrs MikeInMa are down to Cape Cod. Beautiful weather. Monday, the heat and humidity comes back.

Sesuit harbor, on the inside of the Cape elbow. A small harbor.

An excellent lunch spot. I had a cup of strawberry and double chocolate. A fine combination.

A small beach just outside Hyannis harbor. The harbor is off to right, just out of sight.

Lots more room in the channel than it looks.

We drove around to the other side of Lewis Bay.

That's a vehicle ferry heading into Hyannis, which is now to the left.

No traffic to speak of going over the Sagamore bridge.

I need to find a buddy like that!

    Today was Canal day.

Started at the west end at Buzzards Bay.

Since the Baltimore Bridge accident, it seems a 2nd tug now escorts certain traffic. The 2nd tug turned around once the barge reached the last canal channel marker.

I think those fuel barges have required an escort since a spill in Buzzards Bay and an accident in the canal a few years back. Might be just single hull fuel barges - the rules keep changing.
