Harbor Freight has something similar. I have come close a few times but never got one. I will be interested too.

I have installed all in one contained solar lights that hang on a wall and have a pannel on top. Put them at mother in laws house. As long as they get decent light there great. Light it up enough to see, its not daylight, the motion sensor pics ip 30 feet away or . Those were only like $15 or 20 each on amazon. This one you show is probably 3x brighter than what i have experience with.

I think my brother has exactly what you are talking about. Nice and works decent with surprising amount of output.

Where I intend to place this one is on a NE corner of a building. The ability to relocate the solar panel independently of the light itself will be nice as I can then ensure it gets better sun exposure, in this case.

I have a couple of small ones . 4"x4" IIRC
I fastened them to the north side walkway just as an experiment. They get little direct sunlight except in the early morning and late evening. Winter they get zero direct light and they still work. Amazing!
I also have some other bigger ones on driveway posts about 75-100' from road. Vehicles on the road will set them off! Amazing! Solar tech has really improved the last 5 years.

Solar and more importantly, LED tech has gotten hugely better in the past couple of years.

My mom has the same brand, but a little different than the one you got yooperdave . It works great. Super bright, and the charge lasts a long time. Where the solar panel is, it doesn't get great direct sun exposure and I'm still impressed.

I’ve got the Harbor Freight version, actually two. They work well and are nice and bright. My neighbor has a couple he runs all the time. His have gotten dimmer over the last couple years. I only use mine on occasion. The HF versions can be adjusted for how long they stay on and how sensitive they are to motion, as I’m sure most of these types of lights do.

I have three of the Harbor Freight ones, two are the floodlight kind, one is always on low, and jumps to bright when it senses motion.
The always on one is on the porch, right over the wood ring.
It is usually dead by morning in the winter , but in the summer it will still be on when I leave for work at 0430.
All three will be weak after a dark day, even though they are in full sun most of the day.
the two motion floodlights are on my wood piles, and they work just fine for him in the winter, since he always waits until after dark to get the wood

I've got 5 of the HF, one on the house, one out back of the garage, and three on the deck. One on each side, I love them. They come on when I walk by, I used to have grab a flashlight to go to the outbuildings. Now the solar motion, lights the way. I think each one has 60 LED's.

I know HF is good about taking back their crap if your not satisfied. I am a huge HF fan. Their hand tools have come a long way in 15 years and have a lifetime warrenty even now. But things like sawzall blades still suck esp for metal. But anyway yall have convinced me to take HF up on their coupon and try those remote panel solar lights for $14.99.
