It's that time of year when I start thinking about the garden. The weather has been teasing us here with signs of spring but it's not quite time. Even though I know it is to early I still find myself walking out and checking for the first signs of asparagus pokein up outta the soil. No sign yet and the gardens still look like a dead wasteland.

We do have some radish and leaf lettuce just starting in the 2 homemade cold frames. The green onions are not up yet.

Got the potatoes in last week, but it has been so wet here. It has been s struggle to get anything done in the garden or anywhere else around the farm for that matter.

I hear ya, butcher. I'm cutting the first asparagus shoot today, and several more will be ready tomorrw. Also have some volunteer spinach popping up, but we'll still probably have a couple of hard freezes before May. My garden won't be big this year since we're selling our house, which means I won't have much time for a garden this year. Good luck with yours.
