If these last couple of storms would have happen elsewhere they would be all over the news. (Could this be our good friend Redneck?) The 2 pictures with bike were taken on Mackinaw Island where cars are not allowed. It's been tough going lately. On Mackinaw Bridge. This was not just one storm! Day after day. One county had the entire population without power. Some have been told it may take weeks to restore. It is also tough finding gas and diesel fuel now in many spots.
Sorry to hear this and hope those folks are all ok and get through this safely. I think the media is too busy covering other things. A meteor could be hitting planet earth and they'd still be covering someone else
We are ok here. We had a storm on Sunday but okay with just some driving rain. Wind damage not far from us. Yesterday we had thunder, rain then freezing rain which turned into rain followed by more freezing rain followed by mor thunder and rain. It stopped for a short time before more thunder and rain hit around dark. A bit over 2" rain yesterday and around 3" for the past week. Fortunately the sun is shinning now but very windy. Yes, we are warm. Haven't ran out of wood yet.
Stay warm and safe. Ice storms are nothing to sneeze at. I saw a video where trees were snapping like twigs and it sounded like machine gun fire in what used to be a nice woods.
