I think the #1 snap disc on my old Quad Mt Vernon is getting sticky and shooting craps. It takes a long time for the convection blower to kick on. Also, after shutdown the blower will shut off for a while and then kick back on for a short period of time long after the flame has gone out and the combustion blower is off.

Quadrafire part number is SRV230-0960. Several sites have these but most want $15 to ship. That's ridiculous on a part the size of a quarter. It's already a spendy little part.

Can anybody offer suggestions for other places to buy OR replacement part? This is a funny one...flush mount as seen here.

Ahhh yeah....I think the 5th one down would do it. Original is 125F Ceramic so I get my heat just a little quicker with the 110F. This looks like it sits flush like mine doesn't it?

To me it does look like it sits flush....you can drop them a line and see what they say but it does look like it would fit......

I think it might work. Seller is cross referencing it now.

Thanks for the link. I never thought of them and I have purchased other things from them previously.

    I am wondering also?

    Looks like a good fit?

The lower the temp of the snap disc, the quicker the convection blower kicks on, and the longer it takes to kick off. So you increase the efficiency of the stove.

Sorry for the delay fellas. I was up in the big woods grouse hunting all weekend.

I put one of these in this morning and all seems to work just fine. It still seems like it takes a long time for it to kick on, but definately running longer after shut down.
