We got back last night from a long weekend in the smokies. We've visited TN many times but have never stayed in the Gatlinburg/pigeon forge area. It's safe to say we'll be back. The kids had an absolute blast the whole time. The view from the cabin was spectacular! God sure did a good job painting the sunrises and sunsets for us. We spent one day in the downtown tourist trap area and the rest we spent exploring outside of town. I have a ton of pics but I'll share a few of my favorites.
We went a couple years ago, the kids were kinda small to enjoy it. One of the places we will go back to. Looks like awesome views from the cabin!
My parents honeymooned in Gatlinburg. They took us kids there when I was still pretty young, so I don't remember much. I'm not one for tourist traps these days, but I absolutely love rural Tennesee. Just to the south of Gatlinburg is motorcycle wonderland.
We hit Nashville last vacation , great time and NO lack of nightlife. Planning on Gatlinburg next , the Mrs wants to go rent UTV's and tear it up. No argument here. Spring time trip for us in 2024 ; can't wait.
Beautiful pictures! I would think fall is a good time to go for colors and maybe fewer other tourist. Did you find that to be the case? Sent from my SM-S536DL using Tapatalk
That's our go-to vacation spot. We've been dozens of times and it never gets old. Just there 3 weeks ago. We avoid most of the touristy stuff but there's a lot for the kids so good to hit up some of them. Glad you had a great time!
We were a few weeks late for the fall colors and most of the leaves had already fallen. As far as lack of other tourists, from what I understand there's never a slow time of year down there.
