Out to my buddy’s today and processed two loads like this:yes: Stuff he hauls home gets added to the pile. Odd chunks are a different pile. Chilly morning but sun came out. Wind chill made it -11! EB07D715-A141-450D-B204-929616031207.jpeg

Good friend to have! Looks like some good stuff. You’ll have to show us a pic of it all splitter. I think it’s cool to see how a stack of rounds translates to a stack of splits:thumbs::stacker:

Looks like a heavy face cord. Maybe half cord or better

Always feel like I’m trying to play catch up with his generosity! He has a boiler and burns pine and spruce, so whenever there’s a log in the pile, I’ll buck it and split it for him.

Took a half day at work today to get an ash and hard maple that blew over in the woods. Got 2 gater loads ready for the splitter.

That’s a beautiful picture. Is that just your phone camera?

Non-hoarders might not understand the idea of taking a day off work to “work” on the woodpile.

I had a hectic week at work last week and hitting the logpile was a necessity

I sure understand. I don't get to take off much to work on wood, but working 12hr shifts does give me more days off, I look forward to good weather and days off. Sometimes I still have to go to the woodyard after work...good therapy

Some gnarly crotch pieces but will be good boiler wood.
