This is my first time posting in the woodshed in a bit, I hope everybody is doing well. I ran an errand this morning and noticed the town cutting near my house. I enquired and was told take it. No reserves. When I finished my errand it was still there. It was a standing dead sugar maple, I took all the non punky wood. It is nice, it is dry and splits easy.
Nice grab. That’s what I call unicorn firewood. Sugar maple without bark, dry on the inside and not rotten.
Nice grab. Looks ready to burn. Any scrounges from the dump lately Thom? I spotted some fresh state cutting to and from my delivery yesterday. Have to bring him a second load and the saw is coming along for the ride.
Nothing from mine in 2-3 trips in recent weeks other than a single 3' cherry log that I forgot to post pics of. Have a couple more trips coming next week.
