Anybody ever seen a tool like this before? Ran across it for sale today...never seen anything like it...simple enough, but seems like it would be handy!

Interesting Dave but with just a skid steer attach, I question how much one could do with it.

I did too at first...but the more I thought about it, the more I think you could really do a lot...most of what us DIYers get into anyways...plus its only $725...I think the guy is making them, he has some other interesting SS attachments too.

Perhaps you can ask him more questions and even see one at work? The price does not seem high if it works well. It also looks solid.

No stabilizers on that so with my limited years using a backhoe, I don't like it on a tractor but maybe on a skid - steer loader it would be different.

Dad has a backhoe attachment for his Bobcat (a regular backhoe, just "mini") and it has "outrigger" feet built into the SSQA plate.
Good point on this one though...that might limit ya a bit

Not that I ever looked but I've never seen the outriggers built into the SSQA plate, that sounds nice.

It doesn't need outriggers as it doesn't swing. I have seen one like it an the lack of swing meant a lot of maneuvering for the operator. That said they were putting drain tile in and it did a respectable trench.

Yeah it wouldn't be ideal for a big job...just handy for someone that has a few acres and wants/needs to dig a lil once in while...for someone used to a backhoe I'm sure it would exercise your patience...kinda like someone used to a trackhoe going back to a backhoe! :hair:

Not a bad price for the plow attachment.

Yeah plows like that one are 3k plus here, used or new. Wonder if he would ship north of the border? If they are made in the US my border fees would just be tax:).

brenndatomu do you you a link to the ad? Not that I have any cash laying around now but I could in a couple months:)

Looks pretty handy to me. Could put a thumb on it and use it to grab brush or logs. Way cheaper than a graple bucket. I could put that stump bucket to use as well.

Scio is only about 1.5 to 2 hr ride from walt s place...and will be much less than that if you're going to the Paul Bunyan show! ;)

I have one that I bought used .
It works well but I also have a couple of hours invested in it on rebuilding the pivot bracket , it's not heavy built like an HLA but it fit my budget , gets the job done and I own a couple of welders .
I also have picked up a used Wallenstien ssqa backhoe , similar to the first pic , I bought it for the bucket because the Kubota bucket is beat on mine but I haven't made it fit my Yammy yet , even if it's on the loader I'd rather use it in stead of using a shovel lol
