need to replace seals on my Dayton 2Z463B (Poulan 245SA). I've found some PTO Inner seals on SKF site - 721570 and 711807. they're both
    Description - BLOCK VEE SEAL
Lip Code - Longlife (Fluoroelastomers) (Lip Code: V)
    Type/Style - BV
sizes match up pretty well but I don't know squat about materials. the SKF site indicates the fluoroelastomers can withstand fuel and temps up to 490F. any of yall had any experience with these materials?

Jerry, I think Modified Mark can give you the replacements for that saw. I still need to check on the piston for you.

They are Viton or equivilent. Same stuff that is used on the point of a carb float needle. Chemically, they will work good.

Dan's right Viton is excellent in fuels and oils with some heat too.

Take care that the cross-section of the two seals should have the same features. So if the originals have a garter spring, you should ensure the replacements do also and that its' installed in the same direction.
