So the wife and I have spent the better part of the holiday weekend restocking the woodshed for this coming fall. Finished the last of about 7 cord about an hour ago, but before putting away all the gear I had about a half cord of black locust splits and black walnut rounds I wanted to haul down to the seasoning stacks to dry. After hauling the locust splits and coming back to work on the walnut, I found this. She evidently tried to go after a walnut round with an axe. This was my signal to get the maul and take care of them myself. I love my wife and thanked her for trying... For the record, it was spelled with tamarack chips.
Good for her to give it a few whacks! It's awesome that you two can put up your heating needs together. :stacke:
She's a "keeper" for sure! I've never visited your state but was suprised to hear you talk about locust & B/W. Thought everyone only had some type of evergreen's to burn.
I'll bet she would have been successful had she known how to read the wood! Perhaps give her a few pointers and before long she will be by your side splitting wood with you and keeping up!
So many ways to respond........so little time. I've chased Jehovah's witness folks outta the driveway, THAT thing wouldn't make even that far.
