I am looking at the NV350 through 360 series. Supposedly VERY light, two current vacuums too heavy for me to run...

We don't have the Navigator, but two Rotators. One is a lift away. We really like them a lot. I was a skeptic, but it is powerful and the brush head is very strong. My only beef is that it did not come with a hard surface head so we kept the one from our old vacuum. No regrets.

We have the Shark Navigator powered lift=Away 3-in-1 Vac. You can use it as an upright or canister vac on wheels or the lift away. Very versatile. Suction is the strongest of any vac I have ever owned. I use it as a canister vac so it isn't heavy. Got it off QVC with six easy pays. I would say it is better than the heavy Dyson we have. So many accessories and configurations to this. Easy to get at any place for anything like a sock you sucked up. Cost me 249 on qvc.

I've never used a Shark, but I'm content with the Dyson I have. It beats anything I've used made of plastic. Nothing matches up to that old metal Kirby my parents had when I was as kid. It weighed about 50lbs, but that thing could suck!!

My GF bought a Shark a few months ago . Don't remember the model. It was junk.
In the garbage now. Bought another Hoover and love it like the last one.

Larry, my cleaning lady moved (WOW do I miss our friendship). The Rocket is too hard for me, top heavy and the small dirt cup fills up fast and is a PITA to empty, (have to take that long cord with me to empty it on the porch).

Can your dirt cup be removed separately, or is the cord still attached for emptying?

There is a newer design with corduroy thing in front and I fantasize about how well it would pick up dust from the floor, but I hesitate imagining it getting caked in pet hair. Called Shark this morning for some expert advice, estimated 10 minute hold, then tried to use the "chat" feature on the website and it said "leave a message". WWW brought our old white canister back from work, but the wand is stainless steel and heavy too for using the crevice tool etc.

    Thanks

My wife took back a 500.00 Dyson and got a shark that cost about 350.00 (don't know the model), she loves it and wants to get another.

    You have a shark Rocket?
I have one and I don't have to take the cord anywhere I just take the dirt cup off and go empty it, it does fill up quick but I use my mostly for small areas small jobs, I have a great big turbo Bissell, for bigger areas and jobs, that thing really sucks, it would suck the cat up if he got in the way:D

Yep I did get a Rocket, was feeling pretty silly because I cannot see how the cup comes off so I took it out and took a pic for you, but our cell phone repeater/booster antenna is down, pic still "sending". Anyway I found this, this is my exact model.
how to empty shark rocket - Google Search

Edit, I just reread your post from 2016, yep, I bought a less expensive Rocket model.....

Sadly just like my uber favorite panasonic motor protection (picking up the unseen fishing weight from under the couch skirt went right through w no damage), that model is discontiuned. I did however see a couple other Pet Eraser uprights, going to google more in the next few days, thank you for sharing a cool vacumm friend!
