After the "pucker factor" subsides these are kinda nice. Retired mechanic had them listed on Craigslist where i stumbled upon them an they were reasonable.
No good. Pack them up and send them here.... I will deal with them accordingly. JK, them’s pretty sweet!
If you ever want a set search "display ramps" several listed by me. Things are pretty strong. Heavy to. In the picture I used the jack stands for peace of mind.
Wow, looks like it would be a little scary to drive up on the ramp! Are those access letters really steep?
There is the pucker factor that he mentioned. Looks like the ramps could be less steep with a smaller vehicle and delete the bottle jacks maybe??
The jack stands turned out to be a totally unnecessary precaution. The ramps teeter totter once the vehicle is past the halfway point.
I used to work under an old single post lift years ago, and it looked less sketchy than that thing! My lift would jump up the last 6" if you didnt back off the lever too.
They are extremely solid. I should have charged admission for the amount of scrutiny that they have received. They don't move and believe me a lot of people have tried. It's made from 3"x3"x5/16" angle with nice wet in welds. Takes two people to move each half.
I don't see whats so sketchy about those ramps, would use those all day long Look well made Used alot of hoists that were waaaaay scarier than that, would just make sure they're safe when the car is on them Ever see some of those cheap stamped steel ramps ypu can buy at any hardware store? Those are sketchy!!
I see you are enjoying our not so frigid "winter" we are having. Did you get what you needed done? The weather doesn't look so nice later tonight and into all of tomorrow.
I was just doing some corrosion prevention on the x cop bourbon. Hot pressure wash using Dawn. Compressed air dry out. Nice coating of the complete underneath with my special sauce. Sauce recipe is ..... CRC sp 4oo (bulk 5 gallon not aerosol) with 3oz of Kroil per gallon plus some thinning with mineral spirits. Spraying everything right from the can with a shuts gun at 135 psi. Getting it in every nook and cranny. For a couple of days it smells exactly like a new box of crayons. Wish the weather would hold out as I'd like to do 3 possibly 4 more vehicles. Used 1 3/4 gallons of sauce on a 3/4 ton suburban.
