We have a rubber suction cupped bathmat now. It was torn by dog after last skunk incident.......and the tear is getting bigger.

I was thinking about using self adhesive rubber decals instead. I found some really cute duck ones for the kid.

Are they hard to clean around? Which do you prefer? Its an acrylic tub if that makes a difference.

While on the tub subject, I read somewhere that using rain-x on the shower curtains could help keep them cleaner. Ever tried it?

I fear the rain-x will wash off during the kids bubble bath (jetted) and she swallows bathwater sometimes. Any thoughts?

If adults take bath I suggest a removable bath mat instead of adhesive. Really tough to slide around in tub to wash hair and such otherwise.

I definitely would not use the Rain-X.

I guess I should say why - I can think of probably a dozen reasons. You said the main one, it is not designed for human consumption. Additionally, what will it do to your septic tank? Do you want it on your skin, even if nobody ingests it? Etc.

I also prefer the temporary nature of the bath mat.

Wild west, I put stickies one on my acrylic tub for kids. My right foot has limited sensation after numerous surgeries. It basically "been asleep" when your hand feels 2x it's normal size and tingles for 20 years. I like them for me, the stickies, because don't know foot is moving til it's too late. makes ice in winter fun. With your Scleroderma mentioned in your avatar, I would say does it work for you?

I personally do not take a lot of baths at this time, Hard to fit 6 foot plus that don't bend well in 5 foot tub! But I am looking for an extra long deep tub but gonna be easier and cheaper to put in hot tub..... so room for Wife:D

I have taken them off when wear out with goo be gone and put new one in!

How silly I cannot make a decision on this

Good point, thank you, 99.9% of the baths here are for the lil one, we only shower. My numbness is limited to my fingers and toes only thankfully, and its not constant (I am sorry about your foot)...I don't want to slip and fall, and lil one can be a daredevil during her bathtime :picard:

I guess it comes down to cleaning for me. I had an XL walk in shower for the last 20 years, textured shower base. The bathtub mats kinda gross me out when I take them up, always a stray dog hair in the suction cups, and and extra step for me to put it in, use, then remove. Then again I remember using a toothbrush around the stickies at my grandparents house which is difficult for me now too.

I bought stickies for a small antique clawfoot shortie bathtub at our last house, I was in there temporarily while we remodeled the master bath, ended up buying a prefab steam shower so I was done with using the clawfoot sooner than anticipated. Out of all the things we still need to locate after moving here, the duck stickies are here, on the bathroom shelf :loco:  I am going to try them tomorrow, have goo gone here if it does not work out. Thank you for the insight into my personal situation and commen sense point of view:handshake:

"I don't want to slip and fall" ... it's nice to see someone on the ball "before" they take a flop, instead of the shoulda-woulda-couldas afterwards...
