I haven't seen or ran many stoves so I don't know, do all the EPA tube stoves have these holes in the back side of the stove ?? , once about half of the Load is burned up I see these secondary holes in the back burning the gases, apparently doing the job they were intended for.

Every non-cat epa stove that I've seen has either tubes with holes or a firebox roof with holes to let in fresh air and combust that unburned fuel.

I'm talking about secondary air holes that are right in the back of the stove above the fire bricks
my stove is three secondary tubes plus secondary air holes in the back of the stove.
I was going to take a picture before I reloaded but I forgot dang it
I would assume that all the Lopi stoves have these holes in the back but not sure

I'm a little confused? Are you talking about the secondary air holes on the inside of the stove or the supply for those tubes/holes from the exterior of the stove?

I have only owned 2 EPA stoves, the Jotul Oslo and the WS IS. The jotul was like yours, a secondary burn type stove with burn tubes. 3 tubes running E/W with multiple holes in them on both sides of the tubes. The secondary air came from it's own inlet air supply and burned gases high in the firebox. Does your stove operate like this?

Yes but there are also holes right in the back of the stove once the load has burned down one half to three-quarters you can see the gas burner effect coming from these holes in the back of the stove just like you see on the tubes

So your saying these holes in the back of your stove are igniting and the burn tubes are not or have and are no longer burning off-gases?

My Quad has vents in the back that supply boost air for lighting. Or at least they did till they got plugged with ash. That along with the perforated secondary burn tubes long the top. There are two or control rods. One cuts the boost and one controls the primary burn air. Is that what you have?

My VC stove has the four secondary burn tubs on the top and three air vents near the bottom in the front. Those three vents in the front cannot be controlled and provide a fixed amount of air to the firebox at all times. I think the NC-30 has a similar air supply via the "dog house". I was told that air was the minimum air needed so, once the secondaries quit, the coals would continue to burn cleanly and not just smolder.

    Thanks
Apparently not all EPA stoves have that feature because no one knows what I'm talking about.
    Does the Liberty have them?
I will have to get a picture before my next reload

Pics of Avalon Spokane 1750... these do indeed act in the same manner as the secondary tubes. I'm pretty sure the liberty has them as well.
