Scared afraid and horrified ..

Hey all,
I have had so much stuff going on.
2018 sucks so far.
My dad passed away in 2016 of an aortic aneurysm my mother has dementia, since 2014 and it's getting hard to take care of her.
She's ok physically and knows us but her world is her couch and the kitchen.. my sister's and my brother help as much as we can to be home with her as she cant do much herself .. she misses dad horribly, we all do.. it's hard.
Then 3 Saturdays ago my oldest sister Laura called me and told me she had been diagnosed with ovarian tubal cancer that spread to her omentum and bowel. Stage 3c.
She came back home today after 7 days in the hospital. Shes not on chemo yet. Has to recover. Just devastating to our family.
I myself crazy as it sounds, have been having problems with pain in my shoulders and left arm chest pain .. no heart issue but strange pains.
3 diagnostic tests 3 months ago w neg results.
Now past 3 weeks I have very bad bowel symptoms and have many signs
It might be a blockage or something more sinister. Have 2 kids n wife. Home and a family that needs me.
I'm worried myself to death.
Have a gi doc appoint tomorrow am.

Lord, be with Oakman69 , he has a lot going on. Let him know of Your love for him, and for his family. Give him and his sister health, and his Mother clarity of mind and peace. We ask all this, trusting in Your goodness and the grace and peace we can have through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

 

To be sure I hope n pray it's only that.

That your stressors are wreaking some havoc with anxiety attacks and such.

Sorry to hear of such a load on you.

It adds up, I can attest to that personally.

Do what you can to take good care of your mental and physical state, and know that you are not alone along the path.

"Take care of yourself, you can't do anything for the others that need you if you're not able to be there for them."

I've gone through a bit myself, but not like you've had to deal with.

Bring only a year older than you, I can't imagine having the health issues you've been dealing with.

Hopefully your tests tomorrow show up negative.

 

Sometimes its helps if you take someone with you when you have your appointments. The stress may be so much that you don't understand, or forget to ask intended questions. Should be someone you know and trust, even better if they have some medical background or particular understanding. Write things down that you wanted discussed. Stress can and does kill. It weakens you defenses and allows for opportunity illnesses. Get your rest and eat well. avoid junk food. Don't self medicate. Good luck. You are in my prayers.

Can't agree more.. taking my wife.. she listens and is there fur me ... even tho a pain in the . Sometimes ... kiddn.

 

Sorry you and your family have serious health problems all at once. I hope you can continue to help and support one another. Just the day to day care for a dementia sufferer is very taxing. Praying for your shoulder pain and your GI symptoms to be taken away. Let us know how things are going.

 

So sorry to hear about the burdens you are carrying. Prays being sent from the North. Try and keep a positive outlook. GOD has a plan, even though we may not understand at the time. Good Luck.

Almost missed this thread, my mother was a Sunday school teacher, and always told me that God wouldn't give me more than I could handle. I must confess there were many times I thought he overestimated my abilities. I was wrong..

 

Oakman69 my thoughts and prayers are with you and all of your loved ones. I can't begin to imagine, just know that your not alone and people are thinking of you and praying for you and your family. Our Heavenly Father does indeed work in mysterious ways....!
