Ok fellas I’m at my wits end. Have a husqvarna 550xp and it will not cut straight at all. I’ve had it in the shop 4 times already. Each time they put a new bar and chain on it and say “it’s fixed now”. Take it home cut maybe 1-2 rounds with it and we’re back to the same problem. Put bar on different saw and it works perfect. Oiler has been adjusted and it’s getting proper amount of oil. HELP!!!! Husqvarna won’t warranty or replace the saw since it wasn’t purchased from a husqvarna dealer.

Your chain is probably hitting the chain catcher or the plate behind the bar. Flip the saw over and rotate the chain by hand and you might see something hitting it

I had this issue with a 441. There was oil coming out, the dealer said it was fine, but it wouldn’t cut straight with brand new bar and chain. The bar would eventually scorch, so I knew it was an oil issue. I took the saw back, took it a different dealer and was eventually told there was a trash obstruction and I needed to do a better job of keeping trash out of the oil reservoir. The problem went away, but several bars were trashed in the process.
Good luck with sorting out the issue. It’s frustrating having issues that can’t be easily found and fixed.

So when you rev the saw with the tip pointed to a piece of fresh cut wood, you should see it fling oil as proof the oiler is working. Can you do that after the 2-3 cuts and confirm it's still getting proper oil?

Can you take pics of the chain after the 1-2 cuts and let us see if one side of it is getting dulled, which could cause it to cut crooked? And like Kevin mentioned, take the clutch cover off and take a pic of the bar mount area. We'll see if there is any evidence of something interfering with the chain.
