...I've almost completely rebuilt this dammed thing (except for the long block). New carb kit, new AV mounts, new muffler, new clutch cover/brake assembly, new gas/oil caps, new air filter/filter cover.....

No matter how I tune it, it won't idle...at all....even with the idle screw turned all the way in. It has good mid-range and full throttle, just won't idle at all.

I bought this as project, spent over 110 bucks on parts, and it's running like chit. Any suggestions?

Where is your L screw set at? 1 turn out?

Replace (not rebuild) your carb. It can be had for less than $20.

I am not an expert, but have seen several times where replacing the carb will fix poor running small engines that had already had a carb kit installed. They are cheap enough to not even bother with the kit.

Have you done a pressure/vac test? Might be crank seals.

Yeah I'd have to say the carb is the likely culprit. Either go through it again with an eye for details, and make sure every passage is open, or just replace it.
Casper has a good point too...

Food for thought, I've probably seen 20 carb kits where I had the same issue, took carb back apart and put original needle back in and problem went away.

I'd buy a new carb. MS200t's had accelerator pump issues, I don't know if the 020t's had the same carb or not.. some of the later ones could have (just a guess).
My bet is definitely on the carb, if it runs well aside from idle like you said.

All of the above. Have you done a compression test? Too low of compression can do this.

    Here's one nobody has mentioned.

There is a small screen (spark arrester) in the end of the muffler. If it gets clogged, and it will, you'll never get the saw to run right. It will take you about a minute to check and see if that's the problem and won't cost you a dime. Here's a video that shows how to take it out and clean it. I never clean mine. When it clogs up, I just take it out.

I even had 'em where your rebuild the carb, it won't run right, pull it apart and find nothing wrong, put it back together without changing anything and it is fine.

This. This was my very suggestion. I had a saw that I could not fix. Would not idle or tune, then it would then go all wanky again. Just like people talk about air leaks or something. I rebuilt the carb, then went back through it a few more times checked lines. After a suggestion here to replace the carb I bought a new china carb and ran like a dream again. There was something that a rebuild just wouldn't fix. And this was a realitivly new saw with just a few tanks of fuel through it, so not sure what got in it but it was junk, no rebuild or air would fix whatever I couldn't even see.

It's a brand-new muffler, spark arrestor is perfectly clean. I'm laying money it's the carb as it had the exact same problem before I rebuilt the carb (hence the reason I rebuilt it in the first place).

Might take the carb apart and give it a couple hour ride in the hydrosonic cleaner......if that don't work, I'll get a new carb.

Yes, as a baseline. No matter where I set the L screw, it won't even try to idle. Even with the idle screw turned in the whole way.

More than likely a carb problem. If it has an accelerator pump, you can block it off and it will probably idle then. These saws do tend to go through seals and crank bearings a little faster than normal saws because they use a different style bearing and seals than you see in most saws.
