Anyone ever make / fill sandbags? Are there any tips / tricks that are helpful. I was thinking on emptying the sand into a large storage bin and filling the bags from there. I don't want sand going everywhere. Need the sandbags for water barrier / flood control during heavy rains.

Get a piece of 8" stove pipe.
Put the stove pipe in the bag , all the way to the bottom.
Scoop up sand in/with the stove pipe.
Stand the bag up & pull out the stove pipe. ;)

3 people can make bags fast with 3 stove pipes
1 fitting bags over the pipe
1 scooping & pulling the pipe
    1 tying & stacking

I could substitute an 8 inch pvc for the pipe. Don't have any extra stove pipe and I think the PVC is cheaper

20 isn't to many to fill
Wouldn't spend much, an old fashioned shovel would do the trick
