Decided to take a chance on one of these since my big splitter is still down. I have to admit I’m impressed. It seems to bat above its class for what it handles and splits. Have done red and white oak, hickory and some maple so far:
Smaller (less than 8”) knot free splits clean on first shot
Knots mean sometimes takes a second hit.
Larger rounds (have done up to 18”) need second hit and if not too knotty, this thing handles it.

this is my first kinetic splitter. I have a 40ton hydraulic that is currently out of service. Have tried other plug in electric splitters previously and returned everyone of them because they didn’t meet my hopes for function.

this unit will be staying in my fleet and I have to say I’m very pleased with it!

Looks pretty neat, seems to work well. I was not expecting $999 though.
