Russian canning gadget

    Towards the end of this video there is a canning device that seems to crimp, lids on jars without a ring. Has anyone ever seen or used one? I hope the link works. I can't remember how to post a youtube video.

    The watermelon honey looks good too.

    Question is how do you open it...Then do you reseal with the tool again?

    Don't know. Reminds me of a chain spinner. I would think that once you pop the top, you would be obligated to use a ring with it.

    I have a vacuum sealer and then I got an attachment that goes over wide mouth jars. It works well and doesn't need a ring. It will vacuum seal the contents but it won't actually be canned. You can use the lid over and over and it is good for things like coffee. I use it for storing seeds too.
