I had a thought this morning. Better half and tiny human get cold at night when the wood stove is cranking because the rooms are upstairs and we don’t open the door to the stairs at night. The cats keep us all awake.

I am HVAV universal but I have zero experience with these fans on Amazon. I’d like to install one above the stairwell door because it’s a tall ceiling in the stove room and would move a good deal of heat upstairs but I’d like to control it with an external thermostat in the far cold corner.

Does anyone have experience or knowledge in this area? Can the Amazon style room to room or vent booster fans be wired to an external thermostat? Most of them come with a built in thermostat and that’s a bit of an issue given its location.

    Thanks

Didn't know such a thing existed. Good luck.

I've never done this before, but I would think you'd most likely need some sort of relay to energize 120VAC for the fan when the thermostat closes the circuit. You might look into a pump zone controller...some of those have a 120VAC output and are controlled by thermostat input.
