While tidying the shop recently, I came across the pump that originally came with the Meyer plow on my '68 GMC. It was strictly an up-down pump, angling the plow right and left was a manual task. Needless to say we replaced it. While trying to figure out what to do with it, a light came on. I took it out to the truck, and........

it fit without modification. I did cross-drill the base to rotate the motor in line with the boom. Of course, the pump had problems, it wouldn't stay up. After multiple teardowns I got it all worked out. All it really needed was a new leather cup and fresh oil. No more hand pumping!

Great job! Useful is what we make of something. In this case that's an excellent use for that setup.
