How hard can it be? I plugged in all 3 of the lines in the pic below to Amazon and I cannot find a match, any ideas?
Thanks guys!! Ordering this and it looks like it should fit. Every other appliance bulb I have ever replaced had a much smaller base so this bulb threw me for a loop, I'll let you know.http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...title_huc_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A25LX2IL3MS3O1 Incidently, we also need bulbs for the RV that will be on the same order, this a new one to me except I have a positive #match and pic.http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/..._title_dp_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3JJJJEKUDKNY9
Ours died last year so I replaced it, but it didn't work. I think the switch is bad. We no longer have a fridge light.
Any time you need a fridge light, get an LED one. Incandescent bulbs make heat, and they don't last as long as LED bulbs will.
Sorry, cant help much with this question. I was going to replace the bulb in ours several years ago but found out it was a fault of the fridge itself. Seems that every time I closed the door the light went out. Go figure?
How much difference between 500 lumens (curent bulb) to 350 lumens in the one below? http://smile.amazon.com/GE-Lighting...8&qid=1462046910&sr=1-9&keywords=refrigerator
Probably not a lot of difference WW. That said, you try to keep lumens the same if you like that amount of light. If the old bulb was too bright, then that one might be just right. If the old bulb was not bright enough, then you might want to find one that's got a few more lumens. Keep in mind, that LEDs are typically brighter than comparable incandescent bulbs.
One problem with some LED bulbs and measuring lumens is LED emitters can be a bit directional depending on how they ( if there is more than 1 ) are arranged inside the bulb. I have a sylvania (40 watt equivalent (7 of them in the kitchen actually )) that the LED are "aimed" out the top of the bulb. Pointing straight down onto a table underneath the light fixture they have a focused light on the table and are actually brighter than the 40watts incandescent they replace. Measured on the table, but not to the side. Great for over the table in that particular fixture. There are 5 forty watt bulbs in the fixture, it's a great place to read the paper ! Even better now with the directional LED bulbs . They save $18 or so bucks a month cuz that light is on 6AM to 8PM just about every day. Put that same bulb in the overhead light in the bathroom which has two bulbs pointing in opposite directions and the wall the bulb is aimed at is real bright but the floor and the rest of the room is kinda dim. I bought a Phillips 40 watt equivalent LED that the LED are arranged axially inside the bulb and it does a better job of illuminating the bathroom in more directions. Inside a fridge I would want a 5000K bright white ( some would say harsh )bulb . Hard to say whether a 350 lumen LED bulb would suffice. The safe bet is to stick with a similar lumens rating. We don't want dim bulbs in our houses, let them run for President.
