Who else uses Red Kote for chainsaw gas tank applications? Oh hell! Any small engine application?!

    I've used it.

Need to let it cure a LONG time (3 weeks .. )

It doesn't mind if you drain the tank when the saw will be idle.

Warped5 that long eh? Well I could at least reassemble the saw this weekend just not put any fuel in it and let it cure.

I’ve used it with good results . I thinned it out per the instructions and did two coats .

Last time I used it was on a dual line outboard tank for a Johnson seahorse 10 1956 model. Finding an NOS tank for one was difficult.

Nixon I didn’t thin it out, I just sandblasted the tank, then washed it out with soapy water and dried it out. Should I add a second coat? It’s just a chainsaw tank.

I think you should be good with what you did . I only thinned out mine as it madeit easier to get it to flow all around the tank.
