I got invited to a central NY GTG by Spike60 and Weimedog which I can't make because my mother is not in great shape.

So I built two saws that I am going to ship down state for the guys to play with. I basically went through my parts storage and picked out the ugliest, most faded, most mis matched components I could find and built two saws up from parts, inside they are completely new but the outside looks like crap! Both 372s with BBKs and Stihl 064 piston in one and 272XP piston in the other. I named them 'Rat Saw' and 'Ratino' ('mouse in Brazilian Portugese), and they are ugly but they shore do cut.

I'll post a couple pictures here in a moment or two.

In the mean time lets see your versions of 'Rat Saws'!

This is how my Echo 8000 came to me, not pretty, but it runs good.

Nice saws... I ran a pretty ugly 372 last weekend. Actually, it looked like it wouldn't run... But that was a mean azz 372 (ECSaws). Had a mean chain to match..

Ok. That's not the one I'm thinking of. Local G2G 20 minutes from me tomorrow. Spike60, 166, SpencerPaving, among others should be there. I had a blast with those guys last fall.

Not all that ratty but its a home depot makita with a 7900 top and a red clutch cover. Hot rods need something red. Red is faster color than blue:mad:

Those 372's dont look that ratty to me!!

I wanted so bad to drop a new motor into this stihl 025 that I got free, but I did not want that much into another 45cc saw. Would of been a cool saw look terrible but run good! Its too late for any fun with it I am parting it out on ebay. Many of the big parts have sold already including the orange handle and air cover!!o_O I guess it was cheap enough, I dont even remember what I got for it I just know I was the cheapest on there. Also sold the recoil off it, totally yellowed plastic, I disclosed all of this and out plenty of pics and even said DONOT buy this to restore a saw of fix your nice saw as they look rough and won't match.

Still have a few odds n ends from the saw, carb and a few other things like clutch and some screws etc?? Have to look and list some more stuff I guess. IMG_20140417_195344_944.jpg
