Well I needed to cut up this piece of cottonwood that I scrounged about 5 months ago and that meant it was time to get the Husqvarna 2100 CD. It has a 42 " bar and the chain is skip square ground. What a pleasure to use.

So did that saw even know it was cutting? That thing just looks bad to the bone.

The Husqvarna 2100 series saws were popular for modifying. This one I have has only had the muffler opened up on it. I bought it from an aborist in Cheyenne that had retired and it was just sitting around in his garage on the floor. I think he just wanted to get rid of it. He had a huge bar for it about 60" long but he wanted more for the bar than he did for the saw. So I only bought the saw.

i got one a few years ago from a CL add.
$50 for a new Carlton 32” and matching skip chain. Neither used. Saw was free because it wouldn’t start.
Seals were blown. Replaced with seals for a 288xp.
    Love it!
    Don’t run it enough.

I have had this saw for about 7 or 8 years now. I have used it for milling and the firewood box next to the stove, is ash that I milled with the 2100.

A 2100 is certainly a beast. They were very popular here in Oregon. Lots of them still around in the area where I live. Too much saw for firewood use, I would really like to find a nice 281xp or meebe 288 those were great also
