8BE8BBF6-58FC-4315-BE97-A9A5F1769133.jpeg I replaced the glass gasket on the Napoleon last year but I didn’t use the proper thickness and I was getting some leaks. Ordered up the right one and it showed up at 8 pm tonight(UPS burning the midnight oil). Project was quick, only took one beer, but hopefully makes a difference. The stove didn’t seem to be throttling back as far as I remember. Hopefully this fixes the issue. Going to light one off now and see how it goes. Cheers!

Went ahead and replaced the secondary burn gasket and air wash gasket tonight. Think last time I did the secondary one was about 3 seasons ago, there was nothing left of it. Probably explains why I wasn’t getting great secondary burn lately. Air wash gasket was still there but kind of deteriorating. Just gonna fire it back up! Amazing how the heat keeps all the bolts freed up. Was able to back most out by hand.

Back to how I remember it a few years back! Can throttle way down now and get good secondary burn. I wasn’t getting that anymore. Picture is about 45 minutes into a reload on a thicker than normal coal bed( didn’t feel like waiting to burn it down further), air is totally closed. Stay warm everyone.

Decided to clean both chimneys, furnace, and stove today. Dirty job and nice to get it all done in one swoop. Am replacing the majority of the firebricks on the psg furnace. Need to replace the door gasket along with the top flue cap gasket on the morso. Nice to have all the cleanup done! One of those things that ya never look forward to doing, but feels so good to have done.
