Quadrafire Classic bay heat exchanger baffle clip fell off!

The original Aladdin CB1200 stoves had a bolt that held the 3 baffles in place. The heat does a number on it.
So the new baffles have a nice tab that hook into a slot in the stove which is a much better way of doing it. Easier to remove and clean and much easier to put back.
I have seen this happen on older stoves. The baffles are still available but all they need is a good welding and a nice painting with VHT 2,000 Degree Flat Black spray paint to be good as new.
In this case the magnet test had just a slight attraction which indicates non polished low grade stainless steel 14 Guage metal was used. Granted using Tri-Mix gas and stainless steel wire can be used but if you are running steel wire and C25 ( 75% Argon and 25% Carbon Dioxide ) in your MiG welder then turning up the Amps to the next level Guage can give good penetration and work just as well. Also turning down the welding speed seems to be better for a small tab like this.
Cleaning and welder setup takes a lot of time but it is necessar! Also the HF welders do a good job.
This 20 year old baby works like new!
