Any 5100 users on here? Maybe 4100 is even designed the same. Is the firebox square/rectangular or does it angle in towards the rear? Looking at some used inserts for my new living room and one of these just popped up. There’s also a napoleon 1402 available which is the same stove I have in my old house. It had a square box which was nice. I know some have the angled boxes which I’m not sure how I feel about that. The Napoleon is a familiar friend but I think the quad has a slightly bigger box and he’s asking a bit less. Also, what to look for on a 30 year old stove besides the obvious cracked steel from overfire? Where in the stove to look? Any reason to stay away from that model? Seems like it has pretty good reviews.

Have the 4100 and it's rectangular.
I would've tried for the 5100 if it could fit in my brick FP.
We are generally happy with Quadrafire.

Thanks. After measuring carefully I determined it would not fit into my fireplace. I actually picked up a Napoleon 1402 which is basically same exact stove I used to have(had 1401) just with squirrel cage fans instead of 4 blades.
