Welcome to the forum. While I own a Quad, I can't accurately answer your questions, but I'm sure that someone will be here shortly to hook you up. I know its a pretty solid heater as long as no one abused it. Silvrblk has one I think and our Supreme leader Dexter had one. You will be asked for pics. And maybe beer.

We have used wood stoves but pellet stoves are new. We paid 150 but it does need front glass and a thermostat to work I was told

Still a great deal IMHO. Stat is a cheap item and you can use any milivolt stat. Glass will be the pricey item. But still not a deal breaker!!

Good sign. If its dirty start cleaning so a good inspection can be done before putting in service.

Yes welcome Tammy . I have a Quadrafire CB1200 also made in 2014 so relatively new . The blower will come on when first plug in and also continue for about 20 minutes after it stops feeding pellets . It's a good unit and would suggest using good softwood pellets , cleaning is always key . I go overboard and prefer to vacuum it out every 2 - 3 days instead of using the the clean out handle that dumps the ash from the bottom of the burn pot . I also suggest learning as much as you can via YouTube and us as if you were studying to be a service tech just to be ahead of any problem . So far it's been a great stove no issue and will eat any pellet you feed it but stay with a top name pellet .

Yes it comes with one but you can go more high tech and add a touch screen but I would just get it up and running with what you have for now .
